The Blessings of Plenty are Meant to be Scattered – (Proverbs 11:24-26)

Daily Bible Study
These passages speak about generosity and sharing the blessings God has given us. We can never forget that God blesses us in many ways. God blesses us spiritually, physically and materially. And most importantly for those who place their faith in Christ alone, we have inherited the kingdom of God. Therefore, it's vitally important we understand that God never meant for those blessings to be hoarded away and kept for ourselves. Wealth has a purpose and that purpose is not to buy bigger and better things, but to further the kingdom of God and help those in need. We as followers of Christ are called to further the Gospel message of salvation through Christ alone, by faith alone and to help those in need.
God blesses us, that through our blessings we may have the privilege of blessing others. Jesus told us our heart is where our wealth is. And where we put our time, money, talents and resources gives away the state of our hearts. What we do with our wealth reveals our heart toward God and what it is we really love. Dear believer, we are not to be fooled by what this world tells us. Wealth doesn't mean to give yourself more stuff. In addition, having wealth doesn't mean God likes us more. And nothing will ache our heart more than when we are present at the Judgment Seat of Christ and Jesus looks at what we did with the blessings He gave us, and He finds nothing there, which is worthy of a heavenly reward.
