The Lazy Man is Destruction Those Who Send Him – (Proverbs 10:26)

Just as vinegar erodes away your teeth and smoke causes irritation and damage to the eyes, so too a lazy person causes injury to those who depend on them. The lazy person lives for foolishness, and dishonors God because they are the devoid of understanding and responsibility. Those who depend on a lazy person quickly realize they not only cause damage to their life and reputation; but the lazy person can also drain you of your resources, your time and often destroy your motivation in the process. Therefore, as followers of Christ this should be a strong warning for us! We should never burden the Lord and those we love with laziness!

For if we do, we will lose much on our way to heaven. Knowing we will personally give Jesus an account on how we used the money, resources, time and blessings He has given us for His kingdom. We cannot forget we are called to be disciples of Jesus, which means we are followers performing His will in our lives as lead by the Holy Spirit. And what comes with that is the responsibility of making ourselves strong in the knowledge of His word the Bible, which complements our responsibility of spreading the knowledge of the Gospel of Christ to those who are lost. In these passages the lazy person, ignores the responsibilities given to them by their employer as well as their responsibilities to a God who loves them dearly. In the end because of laziness, they squander the time, resources and wealth given to them, rather than practice responsible stewardship as required by God.
