Daily Bible Study
Those who apply their time to the study of God's word will gain understanding, wisdom and moral knowledge from the Lord through His spirit who indwells all followers of Christ. Moreover, through the study of God's word we build within ourselves the ability to recognize truth as well as an understanding of the times and the seasons as they relate to the return of Christ. In addition, because we have placed our faith in Christ Jesus, we benefit the most from studying the Bible. This is because all of scripture speaks of Jesus. The words of scripture, testify of Christ, who is God's Messiah. We mustn't forget that the Bible is God's revelation to us about His plan of redemption for mankind. Therefore, from front cover to back cover, from the Old Testament to the New Testament all of scripture speaks of Jesus.
They testify of God's interactions with mankind and His promise of the Messiah, of how the Messiah who is Christ Jesus our Lord, came and died for us and was resurrected three days later. Moreover, it gives us understanding of His soon return and the culmination of God's plan of redemption and the end of the church age. In addition, as children of God, we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit who guides us and helps us to discern and better understand God's word. Through Christ our relationship with God has been restored, we are now children of God. And because of this relationship we are better positioned to dive deeper into God's word, gaining wisdom and understanding. Through the Holy Spirit, we are better able to glean wisdom from God that leads to truth, righteousness and a better understanding of the joy and security we have in Jesus.
