God Weighs Our Hearts, are They Heavy Toward Jesus – (Proverbs 24:12)
Daily Proverbs
If you say, "Surely we did not know this," Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?

God wants our hearts, not our works! God is interested in our relationship with Him and He is not interested in how religious we behave. That is why God looks at the hearts of all people. He looks not at the act itself, but at the motivation and desires behind the action. He considers how and why we do things, especially those things done in His name or in the name of religion. God abhors those religious acts done out of pride or showmanship. God hates those things done to boost one's religious or social status. God tells us through the prophet Isaiah, "when we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags."
God considers it sin, when we do things to make ourselves appear very religious when in fact we do not live our lives that way, nor do we follow Him. Instead, God wants a relationship with us through Christ Jesus our Lord. Our faith in Christ makes us children of God. And because of this we can come close to God as His children and speak with Him directly. We can praise and worship Him because we have a covenant relationship with Him through Jesus. Because of what Jesus did for us, we can have a relationship with God. And when we belong to Jesus, we are not only a new creation before God, but all condemnation has been removed from us and replaced with God's love because of Christ Jesus our Lord.
