Wicked Men Cannot Lead a People Before God – (Proverbs 28:4-5)

Daily Bible Study
The Bible tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. And by "fear" the Bible means to have a deep down love, awe and respect for God, His word and His laws. And true justice comes from God and He has given it to us in His Laws and His precepts which are perfect and true. And for those who have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, God has written His laws on our hearts. He has done so by the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. And because the wicked do not have a relationship with God, they cannot understand justice! Just as they are unable to understand God or His word, they cannot understand justice because their hearts are dead in their trespasses and sins. And because they have abandoned God, they have lost all sense of right and wrong and instead give into their own desires for sin. And because their hearts are wicked, evil people can only recognize those who behave as they do.
This is why when the wicked come into power, they pervert the laws of the land and let evil flourish in the name of tolerance. They do so because evil men are committed to opposing God's will and do not want a just society. Those who are wicked and in rebellion against God do not want what is righteous before the Lord. Instead, they want a society that is modeled after man and his sin nature. They want a society that caters to the desires of the flesh and exalts man over God. Their actions are contrary to the heart of a person who has a relationship with God. Those who are in a covenant relationship with God through faith in Christ, understand that God's laws are necessary for a healthy functioning society. Because of our relationship with God, which was restored through our faith in Christ, we have the wisdom and laws of God written on our hearts. Therefore, we understand the destruction which awaits the wicked. We understand the eternal consequences they bring upon themselves because of their foolish actions. That is why God has changed our hearts, to contend with evil and bring the Gospel to those who are lost and perishing.
