Only God has True Counsel, Understanding and Strength – (Proverbs 8:14-16)

In God there is perfect love, there is perfect wisdom and with God, there is understanding, strength and justice. However, most importantly, God alone is sovereign! These passages are recounting some of the attributes of God and therefore the attributes of Jesus Christ our Lord, as well as attributes of the Holy Spirit. God is sovereign and He alone establishes rulers and kings. Those who are in rule over us are to abide by these attributes mentioned above. And they do so by relying on God as their ruler and leader. They are to perform what is right in the eyes of God, and lead the people in God's will. We can never forget, the world belongs to Christ, and the time is quickly approaching when He alone will lead the nations.

For today, all those who have been placed in leadership over others are called to perform God's will for the people and not their desires. They are called to follow Christ, and lead the people in a godly manner, placing the welfare of the nation and people over their own desires. However, today in our fallen world that is often not the case, and as a result, we see the sin-nature of man played out in the world around us. However, we must remember, the day is coming, indeed it is not far off that we will see Jesus face to face. Jesus will set up His kingdom which will last forevermore. And dear believer, do not forget, as followers of Christ, we will reign with Him and serve our King with overwhelming love. With unceasing joy, we will worship and follow Him forever.
