Wisdom Cry's Out to All Who Will Listen – (Proverbs 8:1-4)

Daily Proverbs

Does not wisdom cry out, And understanding lift up her voice? She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, Beside the way, where the paths meet. She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, At the entrance of the doors: "To you, O men, I call, And my voice is to the sons of men.

These passages of scripture paint the picture of wisdom calling out to all of mankind. God's wisdom is for everyone and God's word is open to all who want to know about God and learn about the salvation Jesus alone can provide. God's word is His revelation to mankind about Himself and His interactions with humanity as it relates to His plan of redemption for mankind. God's word tells us over and over that wisdom is precious and that is of inestimable worth. It's more precious than silver or gold because it leads to life. In addition, it's also very important to remember, in order to fully understand the Bible you have to have a relationship with Christ Jesus our Lord. The Bible is about God's plan of redemption, therefore the Bible from front cover to back cover is about Jesus, who is God's Messiah. Jesus is the living God of Heaven, who stepped out of eternity and took on humanity in order to make God's grace available to us. Therefore, it's impossible to fully understand God's word without a relationship with God. And that can only happen through a relationship with Jesus!

Contrast this to the ways of the wicked, which are often hidden and kept secret in order to take advantage of mankind.  Ways which lead to death and destruction for those they meet. We live in a fallen world which is passing away. A world the Apostle Paul tells us is greatly influenced by the, "prince of the power of the air" who is Satan. And the wicked, those in rebellion against God, are focussed only on this world and those things which are passing away. Therefore, we must remember in our day to day lives, to act with eternity in mind! To follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and honor Christ and His direction in our lives. There is nothing here in this world we can take with us when we die. There is no manner of material gain that is transferable to heaven! However, we will give an account of what we did for the lost, the hungry, the hurting and the kingdom of God with the treasures, time and talents God has given us! The only way to transfer our earthly treasures in heaven is to use them for God's purposes while we're here. Doing so out of the love and joy we have in our hearts for Jesus.
