Daily Bible Study
Here the Bible is showing us just one of the characteristics found in the heart of the wicked. The wicked scorn and detest what is right and seek after iniquity. They do so because they enjoy their sin and they enjoy being in rebellion toward God. They know the wrong they do and they purposely blind their eyes and harden their hearts to the sovereignty of God. Moreover, they will lie and do whatever they kind to fool others regarding the wrong they do. And by doing so, they sear their own conscience in regards to the chaos and damage they create. The wicked hate God, they hate the things of God and most of all they hate the people of God and whatever is good and kind. Therefore, they will do what they can, in order to disrupt the work of God. Not only in their own lives, but also in the lives of those around them. However, we should never forget that God will not be mocked, no one, not even the wicked are fooling God. We should never mistake God's long-suffering as blindness.

We shouldn't mistake God not wanting any to perish, but all to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus and spend eternity with Him, as God not seeing the wrong committed by the wicked. Therefore, those who are wicked and reject Jesus and the grace He alone provides, thereby reject God. And because of their rejection they will stand before the Lord and face judgement. And there is no amount of gain or pleasure that will measure up to the punishment those who reject Christ will face. It is true that God is long-suffering, however, there is coming a time soon when God will no longer allow the wicked time to repent. And He will pour out His wrath on this world and those who have rejected Jesus. That is why God has called us to seek the Lord with all our hearts. God calls us to look out for those who are lost. We proclaim the Gospel message, so that others may come to faith in Christ Jesus our Lord. It's salvation by grace alone, through faith alone in Jesus alone, which God has given freely to us, in order that He could change our lives. And it's with the Gospel, that God changes the lives of those who are lost in this dark world, because without Jesus there is no hope and no eternal life.
