As we live our lives, it seems at times the wicked prosper and never seem to have problems. However, we must remember we live in a fallen world at enmity against God. A world the Apostle Paul tells us is greatly influenced by the, “prince of the power of the air” who is Satan. Therefore, it should not surprise us when evil people prosper in a fallen world. In addition, we must keep eternity in mind and remember the wicked will not live with Christ. Whereas the future for those who place their faith in Jesus is sure. Through His resurrection, Jesus has proven to us the surety of our faith. Moreover, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is our guarantee of our future eternity spent with God.
We as children of God will spend eternity face to face with Jesus. We will know more, feel more and have more joy than we can ever know here on earth. Also guaranteed to us through God’s word and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the power to live a more fulfilled and abundant life. A life that is pleasing to God, through His work in our hearts and minds. This power resides in us through the Holy Spirit and it’s God’s power to change our lives. And once we place our faith in Christ we become children of God. And we receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who begins His work of sanctification which involves turning our hearts back toward the Lord. It’s this power through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, whereby we understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.
