Wickedness, Evil and Want are Never Satisfied – (Proverbs 30:15-16

This phrase "leech has two daughters, Give and Give" is from a common byword of the day, which spoke about people who never have enough. It was a reference to greedy and narcissistic people as well as bad situations that never seem to end. The description itself comes from the two bloodsucking mouths of the "House Leech" which lived off of the blood of its victim. Here in these passages, it's used to paint a picture of the insatiably greedy or self-centered person who always wants more from others and never gives anything in return.
Moreover, these two passages as a whole speak of wickedness, evil and the nature of our fallen world. They are never full, wickedness and evil always want more! Sin will never be satisfied until it has completely destroyed its victim. After which it will move on to look for new hosts to destroy. That is why we look to Jesus! It is He alone who has lifted us out of the mire of sin and placed us firmly on the rock of His salvation. Thereby saving us from the destruction of this world and a life of sin. A world which we know from God's word is passing away.
