Wisdom is Knowing the Lord – (Proverbs 14:33)

Daily Proverbs

Wisdom rests in the heart of him who has understanding, but what is in the heart of fools is made known.

Daily Bible Study
Wisdom is stored within the heart by God. It's a gift given us because of our faith and love in the Lord. Moreover, understanding is quietly preserved until it's needed and used by God for our own growth and the edification of others. This is contrasted with a fool, whose heart is eager to tell the world of every thought that passes through their head. Fools eagerly desire, attention, time and recognition, therefore they often disrupt others. Wisdom is a gift from God and is a result of our relationship with Jesus. Wisdom comes from the study of God's word the Bible and from the teaching of the Holy Spirit. It's the Holy Spirit who works with our new spirit, which we received with our salvation. Our spirit was dead in trespasses and sins. However, with our salvation, we received a new spirit which is alive to God and alive to the things of God. This means we can only achieve fellowship with God through a relationship with His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus our Lord. There is no other way, there is no one else but Jesus!

We have to remember all other religions are meant to draw us away from Christ. There are only two religions in the world, one is salvation through faith alone in Jesus alone. All other's regardless of their name or extreme measures, are systems of works. Regardless of how extreme, they are systems whereby people earn salvation through self-righteous works. Therefore, we have to understand that only Jesus can take away our sins, past, present and future and restore our relationship with God the Father. We are all dead in our trespasses and sins, therefore we cannot come to God on our own terms. There are no actions we can perform whereby we can bring our spirit which is dead in trespasses and sins back to life. Sinful man cannot make terms with God, sinful man cannot earn his way into Heaven. God has already determined the path and it's through the blood of Christ, the perfect Lamb of God. This is why God tore the veil of the Temple in two when Jesus died on the Cross, thereby exposing the Holy of Holies. God tore the veil to symbolize our acceptance into His presence. Our salvation is by Jesus alone and His death on the Cross. Because only Jesus' death brought forgiveness for our sins and provided access for us through faith, to God the Father.
