Hell and the Hearts of Men Are Always Before God – (Proverbs 15:11)

Daily Bible Study
Dear Christian, this verse speaks to the greatness of God's love for us! A love for those in rebellion against Him. A love for those lost and dead in their trespasses and sins. For every person who has ever lived or ever will live, there are only two final destinations to choose from. There is a choice of life or death. Those choices are Hell forever or living in the presence of Christ Jesus for all eternity. We will all face one or the other, the choice is ours. Moreover, by not making a choice you have rejected Jesus and chose instead rebellion against God, which leads to Hell. But the good news is God knows this! As His word tells us above, "Hell and Destruction are before the Lord." This means God loves us desperately, so much so, He has given us the ability to choose to love Him back or reject Him forever. Dear child of God, this means every person who has ever lived, and will ever live will receive a glorified body. Those who accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior will receive a body fit for an eternity in the presence of our Holy God. Those who have rejected the salvation that only Jesus can provide will receive a body fit for eternity in Hell.
There is no middle ground, there is no neutral territory, we are either for Jesus or against Him. This fact should break the hearts of all followers of Christ, as we think of those who are lost. Moreover, this is why all followers of Christ are called to follow the Holy Spirit, using their God given time, talents and resources for the kingdom of God and the seeking out of the lost. Though we may not understand it or accept it, God is sovereign and our will and desires do not change God's way of providing salvation! God alone is sovereign and He has given us His plan of redemption, which is by faith alone in Christ alone. Therefore, He sent His only begotten son Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus who is the incarnate God of Heaven, stepped out of eternity, took on humanity and died for us. Jesus bore the shame of the Cross, that we may have eternal life. He rose again the third day, proving He alone has the power of life and death. Jesus was witnessed by hundreds of people and ascended into heaven, where He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. God did this for us because He understands the horrors of Hell and the hearts of men. God did this for us, because without Jesus no one, regardless of race, religion or creed, and regardless of good works, can be saved and enter Heaven apart from Jesus, which is faith in God.
