As Leaders or Followers We Represent Christ Always – (Proverbs 16:14-15)

Daily Proverbs

As messengers of death is the king's wrath, but a wise man will appease it. In the light of the king's face is life, and his favor is like a cloud of the latter rain.

Daily Bible Study
Those in power and those who rule over others are required by God to use their power for good. To help those around them, those who they rule over. They are not to use it for evil or to abuse others for selfish gain. But whatever direction they choose, however they choose to act they do so in the presence of the Lord Himself. God can place us in positions of influence and He can remove us as well! Sometimes He will remove us quietly or quite dramatically depending on our sin. This is especially important for us to remember as followers of Christ. As children of God adopted into the family of God, by our faith in Jesus, we are called to obey our leaders and do our very best to carry out our duties.

As long as those duties do not conflict against God and His word. Likewise Christians who are in leadership are doubly required to manage wisely. As followers of Jesus, we are not to withhold good from those whom good is due, when it is in their power to do so. When we function in a leadership role we must remember in business or personal life we represent Jesus. Business is no excuse to harm or hurt others for our own benefit. Moreover, God will hold us responsible for all of our actions as well as those times we fail to act when we should have. And we must remember its the fallen world we live in, which has separated our lives of faith from our lives at work. However, and this is important to understand, God has never separated the two and we are responsible for our behavior in all aspects of our life, including our personal as well as are work life.
