The Wicked Listens Eagerly to Evil – (Proverbs 17:4)

Sometimes we can forget that each and every person will receive a new eternal body. For some this will be a body perfectly suited to spend eternity in the presence of Jesus Christ our Lord in Heaven. A body suited for the Millennial Kingdom and one suited to see the new heavens and the new earth. And for others, it will be a body that will last forever in Hell. A body that will feel every moment of separation from God, and feel every type of pain and agony in Hell. In addition, all of us will have memories of the past, as well as knowledge and understanding of the present, including where we're at and why. Some of us will have indescribable joy and others indescribable hopelessness, because of their rejection of the Holy Spirit's work in their hearts to bring them to faith in Jesus. We have to remember that it's God's desire that all people would spend eternity in His presence. And to accomplish His plan of redemption for all of mankind, Jesus the eternal God of Heaven, stepped out of eternity and took on flesh and dwelt among us.
He did this in order to take on the punishment we deserved, and thereby provide a way for us, by faith alone to spend eternity with Him in Heaven. However, God will not force us to spend eternity with Him. God will not force us to love Him and follow Him by faith in Christ. Therefore, while some of us will be throwing our crowns at the feet of Jesus, worshiping our Lord. Others will call to mind every second of every moment they rejected Jesus, fully understanding there will never be any hope of redemption. For all of eternity, those who reject Jesus and the salvation He alone can provide, will be separated from God. Knowing this, where do we turn for knowledge and understanding? Those who love the Lord get our knowledge from God's word, the Bible. And by faith we turn to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In other words, the source from which we draw our strength is the Lord. However, those who are wicked get their wisdom from a fallen world, false lips, spiteful tongues and a world system at enmity against God. A world influenced by the one the Apostle Paul calls the, "prince of the power of the air," who is Satan. And they do so knowing the obvious end, which awaits the wicked, but denying the real destruction which awaits their eternity in Hell.
