God’s Love Restores a Broken Spirit – (Proverbs 17:22)

Nothing can destroy a person's drive or morale more than a broken spirit. A broken spirit can weigh heavy on our hearts and change the way we perceive the world around us and our place within it. This is especially true for those who do not know Jesus, those who do not have a relationship with God through Christ. Why? Because without Jesus, they do not understand how special we are in the eyes of God. They fail to recognize how dearly God loves us, so much so, that He, Himself stepped out of eternity and took on humanity to die for us. Dear child of God, this is why all followers of Jesus are called first and foremost to spread the Gospel. To tell others of the good news of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone. We because of our faith in Christ have been given the blessing to tell others of what God did for us, and how they too can have a relationship with God through Jesus. A relationship which changes us from the inside out.
A relationship which brings joy and peace to our souls. God can even heal a broken spirit, because God knows our frame, He knows we are but the dust of the earth. And when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, something beyond our ability to describe happens in our lives. Our spirit which was dead in trespasses and sins is replaced by a new spirit which is alive to God and the things of God. Then the Holy Spirit begins a change in our hearts as He indwells every believer and begins God's process of spiritual growth called "sanctification." From the moment we accept Jesus into our hearts, our lives begin to change. The Holy Spirit from that moment forward begins God's work of sanctification which fills our hearts with a joy and peace that defies worldly understanding. He does so while making us more sensitive to the things of God. This process of sanctification continues to transform us, restoring broken lives, healing wounds and bringing new life into our souls, a life which has been made anew in Christ Jesus our Lord.
