God's word is living and powerful. Moreover, the Bible tells us it is sharper than any two edged sword, piercing to the division of the soul and the spirit. This means God's word communicates with us at the core of our being. Moreover, it gives us practical advice for a problem which unfortunately we know all too well. While human nature can deal with illness, persecution and the trials of life, how do we cope with a broken spirit? How can we handle those times when we have lost hope in our lives and the trials we face are too much to bear. What wisdom and hope does the world have to offer us? We have to remember, despite the lies of Satan and this fallen world, there is nothing in the wisdom of mankind that can restore hope to our lives. However, what is impossible for man, is possible for God! Jesus restores hope for lives lost to sin, hope to lives broken by the things of this world. Through faith and God's mercy and grace, Jesus gives new life to those without hope! Because of what Jesus did for us we have new hope and a new life through Him.

God alone has the power to restore what has been lost in our sin and this fallen world. As Jesus told us He alone can, "bring hope to the hopeless." And by placing our trust in Him, He will through the Holy Spirit, restore hope to our lives, restore what has been lost to a life of chasing after a fallen world, which is at enmity with God. Only Jesus can restore what we have lost to sin, and make our broken lives whole again. How, because only through faith in Christ, does God replace our spirit which is dead in trespasses and sins, with a spirit that is alive to God and the things of God. Through faith we receive a new spirit, as God begins the process of growth, which changes our hearts and minds. Dear child of God, our Lord is a God of restoration! Through Jesus our relationship with God has been restored. Through Jesus, our hope of an eternity in the presence of God, has been restored. Through Jesus broken lives and families have been restored and made whole, but the first step, must be done by faith alone. That first step is we must believe on Him and place our faith in Him, believe He is whom He claims to be, who He truly is, that is fully God and fully man. The God-man, Christ Jesus our Lord.
