All Sin Even Lies are Washed Away By The Blood of Christ – (Proverbs 19:5,9)

Daily Bible Study
All sin involves a lie, no matter how small or how large, lying is involved because our sin nature uses it to mask the sins we commit in order to hide it from others. Sometimes we're even foolish enough to think we're hiding it from God. We may even use our own intellect, to help us reason why the wrong we committed was "really ok." But even during these times it's still just a lie. And we have to remember God doesn't care about our justifications and more importantly, we are not going to debate God, we are not going to stand before God and justify ourselves like we do with each other. And that's the message at the heart of these passages. No sinner and no liar shall escape God's just punishment. Rather, God looks at our hearts and the real motives and desires that drive us, and not the words out of our mouth. In addition, God's words here in these passages are true, every liar will be punished, and no sin shall escape! Therefore, no one can be justified before God based on their own merit or good work.
The price for sin has to be paid, if it's not, then God would not be perfectly just. Moreover, sinful humanity cannot come before a holy God without atonement. However, the Bible also tells us that God loves us dearly. And to prove His love for us, God Himself stepped out of eternity and took on humanity with the incarnation! Jesus did this for us! So regardless of our sins, no matter how great they are, we are forgiven by His blood shed for us. The Bible tells us His blood was shed for the remissions of sins for those who place their faith in Him. Why? Why did He do this for us? He did this because God loves us so much, that He Himself provided the way for us to be reconciled back to Him. There is no other way for mankind to reconcile themselves back to God, except through the blood of Christ. Therefore, its foolishness and a lie from the very pit of Hell for anyone to believe any works they can perform, even martyrdom are more effective than the work done by Jesus Himself on the Cross of Calvary for our salvation. And why is that? Because only the shed blood of Christ can wash away our sins and only by our faith in Him alone.
