Man’s Ways Lead to Death – (Proverbs 14:10, 12)

In the depths of our heart, suffering and rejoicing are very private matters. While others may see the outward expressions we make, no one truly knows what's in our hearts. We can hide our true emotions, we can hide our true motives and desires from each other, but not from God. The Bible tells us that Jesus searches the hearts of men. With eyes like a flame of fire He searches our hearts and looks at the hurt, the suffering as well as the true motives behind what we do and say. Jesus knows the true motives and desires of each and every heart saved or not. He knows the heart of every child of God as well as the hearts of those who rebel against God. It doesn't matter who you are, Jesus knows the thoughts of your heart! Those who know Christ have an inexplicable joy that fills their hearts as the indwelling Holy Spirit speaks to their souls, as they follow His guidance and walk with the Lord.
But those who do not know Christ, have a way that seems right to their own lusts and desires, but it's a way that leads to death, because it leads away from Christ Jesus our Lord. However brilliant a person appears in the eyes of the world, if they are without Christ, then they have deluded themselves. And the danger is, when it's too late, the deluded person discovers they have condemned themselves to an eternity of total and complete separation from God. A separation spent in the pain and torment of Hell. They have done so because they have rejected Jesus, the one who bore the agony and pain of the Cross in order to spare us the punishment for our sins. We must remember God will judge all who are without Christ based on the sins committed in both thought and deed. Why? Because they rejected Jesus who took that punishment upon Himself, so that they would not have to bear the torment of Hell.
