Here the Bible is using the example of a master and servant to make a point about Christian character. And here these passages are speaking about our character and how we treat people. Moreover, how we relate to the people we come into contact with during our day to day lives. And more so, those over whom we have a responsibility for leadership. The main point is our behavior as children of God is to honor Christ and serve those in need. We are to esteem others more highly than ourselves. We are meant to put others ahead of ourselves. In other words, because of what Jesus did for us, we are to do likewise for others.

God calls us out of faith and love for Him to put others ahead of ourselves. We are looking out for the best interest of others, even if it affects our own best interest. Contrary to what the world says we do not come first! The needs of others and our love for  others comes before our own needs and wants. Moreover, dear child of God this is the key to real happiness. Therefore, this passage is taking the example of a servant whose master puts the servant's best interest at heart. Taking care of the servant, doing what is best for the servant and their future. Such a person in the end will not have a servant, but a child who will in turn look out for them and love their master.
