As children of God and followers of Christ, we are to place our trust in Jesus alone, by faith alone in His blood shed for us at the Cross of Calvary. This is also one of those areas where we have to follow the Holy Spirit's guidance as we get our strength from God. Our world has taught us to place all trust in our leaders, in ourselves and in the world, but not in God. We need to fear God and not man. The world tells us to seek out other men for justice and not turn to God in times of need. However, this is the opposite of what we should do. Only God is sovereign over all things and only God has the final say in all we do.

Our first action in all cases is to turn toward God. We should turn to His word and the Holy Spirit for guidance and turn to the Lord in prayer for our needs. We should trust in the Lord and not fear the reactions of men. We should trust in God and not rely on men to be just. And we should believe in God that He can and will turn all situations around for good according to His purposes and His will. Moreover, we do this understanding that the wicked who are in rebellion against God will never make peace with the righteous. The wicked hate God and the people of God, this means they will never be at peace with those who follow the Lord. Their only goal is to destroy and remove the things of God from this world.
