Daily Bible Study
The blessings of God are many! Especially the blessings our souls receive when we follow the Lord, we receive a new spirit which brings with it, a new relationship with God as our new spirit works with the Holy Spirit. We are given justification as we receive the imputed righteousness of Christ. Moreover, with our salvation we are given a heart of flesh, which is now sensitive to the things of God. Therefore, when we follow the will of God, we gain rewards in heaven because of the love we have for Jesus and those around us. These are treasures we store up for ourselves in heaven, because of what we do for the Lord while we are here. When we serve God out of the love we have for Christ, the Lord blesses us and our souls glorify God and magnify the Lord! It's hard to explain the overwhelming joy and happiness that fills our hearts and souls when the Lord blesses us and uses us for His kingdom work here in this world.

While we may be poor here, God's blessings in our lives provide spiritual growth along with peace in our souls, joy in our hearts and meaning to our lives. Nothing we gain here in this world can compare to the treasures which await us in God's kingdom. Nothing we gain here in this world can compare to the eternal, which awaits us when we see Jesus face to face. Can the Lord bless us with material blessings why we are here? Yes He can. However, material blessings are the least of the blessings we can receive. Moreover, they will do us no good in the kingdom to come unless we use our wealth to help those around us and provide for the work of the kingdom, to bring those who are lost to the saving knowledge of Jesus. We have to remember God blesses us not so we can have more for ourselves, but that we can bless those around us, provide for our families, help those in need and further the spread of the Gospel of Christ in order to bring as many as will come to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord.
