Use Care and Excellence in Your Work – (Proverbs 22:29)

We should never be careless about the quality of our work. In today's world we tend to often pay too much attention to the social aspects of our job rather than the quality of the workmanship. And we often comment on the good ole days when craftsmanship and quality meant something. However, those days are not gone. God in His practical wisdom for day-to-day life tells us to take care and pride in our work. And if we learn our craft and become good at what we do, we shall receive reward for our hard-work and excellence.

This is because in order to become excellent at a trade we have to take the time and effort to learn the trade. We must have patience and humility to become better and learn from others. Moreover, these are qualities God looks for in leaders. These are qualities God can use in His work of spreading of the Gospel of Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore, through the process of becoming excellent at our jobs the Lord teaches us attention to detail, humility, leadership skills and discipline. All of which are needed for His kingdom work. And the best part of this Biblical truth is God can teach us these things regardless of where we are in our careers.
