A Parents Desire is Children with Wisdom – (Proverbs 23:15-16)

My son, if your heart is wise, My heart will rejoice-indeed, I myself; yes, my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak right things.

When we experience wisdom in the hearts of our children, we truly have joy in our life. The desire of every parent is to know they have raised a child who loves the Lord, walks by the wisdom of God and can be found in Christ. Because it is then we know no matter what they face in life, they are secure in God and rely on God's word for guidance. This also means despite living in a world bound for destruction, they will in the end make it safely home to be with the Lord. We also know that even though trials will come their way they have an inner faith, strength and guidance which comes from God. We know their strength does not come from man and their hope is not based on man's wisdom, but on God's word and His faithfulness.

Therefore, they know to trust in God who sends the Holy Spirit who indwells all followers of Christ. Moreover, ultimately any child who follows the Lord is under the care of a loving God who will make their paths straight and give them an abundant life in Christ. In addition, we cannot forget just as a parent is joyous when their child displays wisdom, God too has joy when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. God loves us dearly and when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, believing in Him as the eternal God of Heaven who stepped out of eternity and took on humanity, God has joy in us! Because it is through our faith in Christ, that we become children of God, adopted into the family of God. Through faith we become joint-heirs with Christ in the kingdom of God!
