Daily Bible Study
Our God is a God of relationships and He hears the prayers of His children. God does not stray from us, but we can stray from God. Moreover, He is always waiting for those who have a heart toward Him. For those who will repent, turn back toward Him and place their trust in Jesus alone for salvation. God created us, the Bible tells us He knows our frame. He knows we are but dust and God knows we have no ability to save ourselves. There is nothing we can do to become righteous before God. There are no works we can perform to erase all of our sins and become righteous before a Holy God. God made a way for us to be forgiven. God Himself gave us a way to become righteous before His eyes and have a relationship with Him! God through His word has told us how to have a relationship with Him and that way is through His only begotten son Jesus Christ our Lord!

The Bible is God's word and in it He has told us of the free gift of salvation, the gift of grace. And grace is a gift that can only be accepted through faith, it cannot be earned by works, or given because of merit. We have to understand that Jesus is the living God of Heaven. He stepped out of eternity and added humanity to His divinity in order to make God's gift of grace freely available to us through our faith in Him. Jesus paid the price for our sins, a price we could not afford to pay. By our faith in Him, we are adopted into the family of God as children of God and joint-heirs with Him. And once we become children of God through Christ, we now have a relationship with God. And because of that relationship we are given eternal life, we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and God hears our prayers. Because Jesus not only paid for all our sins, past, present and future, but Jesus also imputes His righteousness to us! Thereby, through His sacrifice for us, we are righteous before a Holy God!
