Evil pursues sinners, but to the righteous, good shall be repaid. A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

Daily Bible Study
As we live our lives there are certain spiritual truths which can affect us and help shape our character. This includes the knowledge that evil is no one's friend. Knowing that evil is the enemy of all people and the knowledge that God is sovereign over all. In addition, everything falls within the providence of God. Wealth is a topic spoken of many times throughout the book of Proverbs. And while wealth can bring blessings to us now, in the end it matters far less in our lives than the favor of God upon us. Moreover, what we do with our wealth and how we bless others with it, matters far more to God than what we have. Therefore, good men trust in the Lord to meet their needs as they rely on God to provide.

In addition, the righteous follow the precepts of God's word and the guidance of His Spirit. However, we must remember they do so not through their own will power, but through the power of God who strengthens them. Strengthening that comes from faith and the study of God's word and not by works, less we should boast, as the Apostle Paul reminds us. While the sinner tries to acquire and keep wealth only to be destroyed by sin in the end. This is because the sinner never really understood that evil is the companion of no man. Sin will never rest, nor get weary and sin will never have enough until it's brought complete destruction to those who try to keep it as a companion. Moreover, because the sinner depends on foolishness, they tend to lack the wisdom to wisely use or keep what they have. In the end only God truly is sovereign over all.
