God Can Restore a Life Lost to Foolishness – (Proverbs 17:25)

God knows the heartache of a parent who has a wayward and foolish child. The Lord knows the pain every parent feels as they watch their child stumble through life without Christ and in rebellion against God. It can cause grief, heartache and bitterness for those who bore them and love them the most. It can tear our hearts apart as we watch our children cause more heartache, chaos and disasters for themselves because of their determined rebellion against God. However, we must maintain hope, trust and faith in the Lord for whom nothing is impossible. We must remember God is faithful to bring His elect to faith in His timing. Therefore, we are to continue in hope and prayer.

We must understand, we have the most effective resource ever created, the most powerful weapon God has given us for spiritual warfare. And that is prayer, because of Jesus we can come before a God who loves us dearly. And we must never forget the effectual fervent prayer of a child of God avails much. And what seems hopeless for us, what seems impossible before our eyes, is possible for a God who loves us dearly. It may not be on our timetable and it may not happen when we want it to, but remember our timing is not God's timing and God is always faithful to those who belong to Him. Moreover, we must remember what Jesus told us, "He will not loose any the Father has placed in His hands." Therefore, even though it may not appear so to us now, God can restore a life lost in rebellion and sin.
