Wisdom Comes From God, By Faith in Christ – (Proverbs 17:24)

Wisdom is a blessing from God and that is because true wisdom, the wisdom that leads to a fruitful and more abundant life, comes from the Lord. How? Because understanding comes from a relationship with God through Christ Jesus our Lord and the study of God's word, the Bible. Did you know God has wisdom waiting for us to unlock in the revelation of His word, which is the Bible? And as we gain wisdom from God, we also gain peace, joy and fulfillment because of our relationship with Jesus, knowing that He alone has paid the price for our sins, past, present and future. Therefore, the Holy Spirit who indwells all followers of Christ, because of the salvation we freely received from God by faith, will give us wisdom and discernment, as we grow in the knowledge of God's word and who Jesus is and what He has done for us. He will fill our hearts with a love for God, a love for God's word and a joy for the life we now have before us.

And as we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit being sensitive to His promptings and direction, we will grow in God's wisdom. Moreover, as we read and study God's word the Holy Spirit illuminates scripture for us. This means the Holy Spirit deepens our understanding of what God is telling us in His word, because we now understand the scripture in light of who Jesus is and what He means to our salvation. However the fool, those without Jesus, have no wisdom and no rest. Instead, their eyes are fixed on the horizon of this fallen world. They are always searching for the next thing they hope can fill that void in their soul. They do not understand their only hope is in God's grace. And without Jesus, no one can fill the emptiness which overwhelm's their soul. This is because God made each and every one of us with a need to know God and to have a relationship with Him. A need that can only be filled by accepting Jesus and having a relationship with Him as our Lord and Savior.
