Daily Bible Study
Kings in ancient times as well as today were supposed to represent the Lord. And they were mandated by God to seek out His guidance and His judgment and not rely solely on man's judgment. They were required to seek wisdom from God in order to judge the people well. This was required by the Lord in order to ensure that all people were treated with honesty and justice. This was to help ensure that a king ruled his kingdom righteously and wisely. This would not only help for the prosperity of the kingdom, but also serves as a godly example for the people of the kingdom, on how to live their lives. Kings who did so, were blessed by God.

However, man because of his sin-nature corrupts God's plan for kings and rulers. However, despite wickedness in the world today we should not lose heart! God has promised us that ultimately Jesus shall reign over the entire earth and all nations will bow before Him. They will bring their gifts to His throne and He alone shall judge the nations with justice and righteousness. The Bible tells us during the Messianic Kingdom, all nations will send their ambassadors to Jerusalem to worship and praise Jesus, who will sit on the throne judging all nations. Therefore, we should not lose heart in these evil days, because Jesus is our Lord and Savior and His return is near at hand.
