God Ultimately Directs Paths of Men – (Proverbs 16:9)

God is sovereign, and He is in control as He directs the world toward the culmination of His plan of redemption for mankind, and the soon return of Christ. God has told us ahead of time through His word, the direction the world is heading. God through His special revelation the Bible, has revealed His plan of redemption for mankind. Therefore, as Christians, as followers of Jesus, we need not be afraid, why? Because His word tells us how everything ends. We live in a fallen world, a world dramatically influenced by the one the Apostle Paul calls, "the prince of the power of the air," who is Satan. Because of this God's word tells us things will not get better and better, but in fact just the opposite will happen. Things will get worse as we get closer to the return of Jesus. Moreover, God is long suffering, wanting no one to perish, and suffer an eternity in Hell. God has given even the most-wicked of people time to repent and turn back toward Him.

However the time of God's judgment is fast approaching, God's long-suffering may not last much longer. We have to remember God will not allow evil and darkness to reign forever, there is no battle between God and Satan. Satan has already lost, He knows the end already determined and waiting for Him. This means God will let sin run its course and reach its fulfillment. And when that time has come and God is finished, Satan and those who rebelled against God will make one final attempt to destroy mankind before the Lord returns. However, that attempt will fail as Jesus ushers in His Millennial Kingdom. And when that time comes, sin will be destroyed, Satan will be bound, and Jesus will rule on earth. Those who rebelled against God will be lost forever with no possibility of redemption, and no hope of avoiding the eternal separation from God and all others. Those who rebel against God and reject Heaven and His salvation, offered freely through faith alone, in Jesus alone, will spend eternity in Hell, and in constant torment.
